Air Travel The closest airport is Faro which is just about an hour drive to Praia da Luz along the new motorway which extends from Faro to beyond Lagos. Faro is well served by scheduled and charter airlines, including BA, TAP, Easyjet, Monarch, BMI, My Time etc. Alternatively flights can also be taken to Lisbon airport which is approximately 3 hours 30 mins drive away, again mainly on motorway. Car Hire or Taxi Transfer Car hire can be booked for collection at Faro or Lisbon airport.We act as agents for an excellent Algarve car hire firm which is reliable and rents cars at very reasonable prices. It is a long drive either way, but if you have the time and enjoy independant travelling it can be great fun!
