From Praia da Luz it is a short 10 minute drive into the larger more cosmopolitan town of Lagos which is widely recognised as one of the loveliest towns on the Algarve with its old walled centre, marina and bayside promenade. It also has several lovely beaches.  Lagos has a lovely pedestrianised town centre which is wonderful for a lively evening stroll, with stalls,music and street entertainers. Slightly further afield, but still within a 30 minute drive are the south westerly point of Europe, Cape St Vincent and the historic nautical town of Sagres.
